Work with oxen - hauling firewood

Winter is difficult for everyone on the farm, which is why cooperation between man and animals is important.  These are current footage from Krishna's yard from last weekend, when we were hauling wood from the forest with our oxen - Janmastam, Pavana, Tejas and Vijay.  Janmastam and Pavana (in the opening shots) are already experienced pullers, but the young oxen - Tejas and Vijay (at the end of the video) were pulling for the first time.

Lecture and the presentation of the Ahimsa Milk project in UK

At the beginning of January, we were visited at the farm "Krisnuv dvur" by Sriman Sita Ram Das Adhikari, who has been successfully managing the "Ahimhsa Milk" project in England since 2014. (www.ahimsamilk.org). You can listen his lecture and the presentation: Spotify, Google Podcasts

Intimate relationship with cows

“Imagine for a moment that all the cars in Vrndavana are replaced by cows. The Parikrama path would no longer be a road, but it would a nice soft sandy path like it used to be before. A Vrndavana filled not with vehicles but with cows. Bullock carts would become the natural means of transport. And in this way, the whole society becomes centered around the cows. Not only the Vaisya community, but obviously all the other various ashramas are also depending on the cows. Without ghee, there would be no sacrifice, and with no sacrifice, there would be no grains and so on. In this way, there has always been an intimate relationship with cows.”

(HH Kadamba Kanana Swami, 26 October 2022, Vrndavana, India, Govardhana-puja Lecture)
